As our credit union takes an important step forward with our new name, Paseo Credit Union, I want to personally share what this name represents and what this change means for you.
On October 1, 2026, Pasadena Federal Credit Union will become Paseo Credit Union. For generations, Pasadena has been at the heart of our story. But today, our membership spans far beyond a single city. Our larger service area now includes cities throughout the San Gabriel Valley and beyond, such as South Pasadena, Vernon, and Bell Gardens.
As we considered our future, we wanted a name that would both honor where we've come from and reflect where we're going. The name Paseo carries a familiarity rooted in Pasadena while creating space for a broader identity, one that welcomes and represents the many communities we now serve. It's a name that respects our heritage, reflects our growth, and reinforces our commitment to each of our members.
The name is changing, but our relationship with you isn’t. Your accounts and account numbers will stay the same, and your deposits will continue to have the same federal insurance coverage through the NCUA.
