Pasadena Federal Credit Union proudly joined hundreds of community leaders and advocates at the YWCA San Gabriel Valley’s 90th Anniversary Legacy Gala, held at the Hilton San Gabriel. Representing PFCU were Melinda Leung-Francis (Chief Marketing Officer), Rick Flores (Social Impact Manager), and Diana Herrera (Regional Branch Manager).
The event served as both a celebration and a call to action, spotlighting the YWCA’s enduring mission to eliminate racism and empower women. Founded in 1935, the YWCA San Gabriel Valley now serves over 14,000 individuals annually—including low-income families, at-risk youth, and more than 7,000 older adults through its Senior Services program, one of the largest of its kind in Los Angeles County.
Throughout the evening, guests were reminded of the critical role the YWCA plays in supporting more than 800 homebound seniors and survivors of domestic violence across 30 cities in the San Gabriel Valley. With funding sources declining, the gala also emphasized the need for continued support to sustain these essential services.
The night featured a VIP reception, silent auction, legacy award presentations, and live entertainment from the Grammy-nominated band DW3. Notable civic and community partners, including U.S. representative for California's 28th congressional district, Judy Chu, Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda L. Solis, the Covina Police Department, and IKEA Covina, were honored for their lasting contributions to the region.
PFCU is honored to stand alongside the YWCA and its partners in uplifting our community and advancing equity, empowerment, and access for all.
