PFCU offers three types of checking accounts. A good Checking account provides you convenient and easy access to your money. Qualifying members will receive a complementary PFCU VISA Check card. There is no per-check charge and no limit to the number of checks you may write. All checks are duplicates allowing you to easily track and balance your account. Our Direct Checking account has no minimum balance requirements and no monthly fee provided you have at least $50 a month directly deposited into your account. You can open your direct checking with a deposit of $25. This is the best account for members who do not keep a lot of money in checking or do not want to worry about maintaining a minimum balance.
Our Classic Checking account is a great option for those members without direct deposit and do not want to keep a high balance in their checking account. The $3 monthly fee is waived if you maintain a minimum daily balance of $300. This account allows unlimited check writing and no per check fee. A $50 deposit is needed to open a Classic Checking account.
Our Advantage Checking account pays dividends. The nominal monthly fee of $8 is waived if you maintain a minimum daily balance of $800. This account is ideal for members who keep higher balances in their checking account and would like to earn monthly dividends. A deposit of $100 is needed to open an Advantage Checking account.
Primetime is a package of services for members age 55 and over to help them enjoy the prime of their lives. Primetime members receive free Advantage checking, complimentary checks, travelers checks, money orders and wires. A Visa Debit Card and on-line account services such as home banking and bill pay are also features of a Primetime account.
Our Student Checking account is available to all full-time students and offers no minimum balance requirements and no monthly fees. A deposit of $25 is needed to open a Student Checking account.
PFCU offers overdraft protection at no cost to you. Your checking account can be linked to your Savings Account and/or Line of Credit loan and the money needed will be transferred to cover the check.
